A Note From Our Current Chairperson -
Hi! I’m Charlotte, and I’ll be your Chairperson for this year! In my role I chair society meetings such as proposals, exec meetings and elections. I also oversee welfare within the society, so I am always here to help with any questions, worries or concerns! I am super excited for this year in LUTG - we have four amazing shows going ahead this term (and many other events too!), which means plenty of incredible opportunities for new and old faces alike. I can’t wait to see you all soon :)) |
The Role of the Chairperson in LUTG -
The Chairperson chairs all Exec, General and Annual General Meetings, designing the agenda for these meetings (including proposal submissions). All Exec meetings are organised and ran by the Chairperson. They are an impartial member in discussions to ensure they are an objective facilitator at all times. This includes abstention from voting in all capacities. On a case by case basis, it is at the discretion of the Chairperson whether a voting method is valid. The Chairperson is also responsible for sending out bi-termly newsletters, informing members of news and events within the society. The Chairperson is the principle point of contact for any welfare issues within the membership. They shall facilitate meetings and, if necessary and at the discretion of those involved, bring the issue to the attention of the Exec. Former Chairpersons of LUTG -
