A Note From Our Current President -
Hi am George! I am your president for 2023/24! I am responsible for the general running of the society. In particular, I liaise with LUSU and the university bodies, and I am responsible for the organisation of the productions we put from the proposal stage to the audition stage all the way through to the eventual post show meeting. I am also the designated point of welfare for shows.

The Role of the President in LUTG - 
The president is the face of the society! They are responsible for ensuring that all members of LUTG have the opportunity to become practically involved with all aspects of theatre.
The president represents LUTG to all external bodies and/or delegates this duty to other Exec members. They oversee all Exec activities and ensure an orderly running of theatre group.
Just some of the duties of the President are -

• Organising Production Consultation Sub Committees (pre-proposal meetings and post-show meetings) 
• Represent Theatre Group to all external and internal bodies
• Assign a member of the exec to each term show to be a point of contact for all Production Teams and to be of any assistance needed
• Organise the activities of the Exec, and maintain the positive and friendly atmosphere of the society
