A Note From Our Current General Secretary -
Hi I’m Regan, and I’m gen sec again this year! I’m excited to do some more backstage work within the society this year and continue to help work out the best way to utilise and keep track of the money we make (with the help of some lovely spreadsheets). As well as helping with and trying to make easier all things finance for the shows.
The Role of the General Secretary in LUTG -
The General Secretary oversees all LUTG finances including expenditure on productions, socials and trips. They report at regular intervals to the Exec about the state of LUTG finances and also can provide information on LUTG finances at the request of any member of the society.
They maintain a membership list of all society members, ensuring registration with the Students Union.
The General Secretary is also in charge of overseeing and advising on the purchase of rights for any show which requires them. The General Secretary attends Production Consultation meetings in order to offer financial advice and reimburse members for any money spent on the production.
